Is this UPI request safe to pay?

Paste a upi://pay?… link, a payment URL from a message, or just a UPI ID like name@okaxis. We cannot tell you who owns an ID — nobody can from the outside — but we can spot the patterns scams rely on.

Three rules that stop most UPI fraud

1. You never need to enter your PIN to receive money. 2. A “collect request” or “pay to receive refund” means you are paying. 3. Verify the merchant name shown by your app at the moment of payment, not the name in the message.
